Failed public safety
Governor Tim Walz enabled Defunding the Police and now he’s trying to cover it up. Unfortunately for him, the damage is done. Violent crime is on the rise in communities across the state. Minnesotans can’t ignore the burglaries, carjackings and armed robberies, and murders – all on the rise because of the negligence of Governor Tim Walz and Minnesota Democrats.
Governor Tim Walz Hides Behind Defund the Police Endorsement
“Ilhan never runs away from a challenge,” Governor Walz said in a tweet. “Her determination inspires those around her to pursue their passion in the face of adversity. She has quickly established herself as a progressive leader in Congress.”
THE CONVULSIONS in Minneapolis, sparked late last month by the police killing of George Floyd, are the largest protests in the Twin Cities against police violence, but hardly the first. For years, the city has grappled with how and whether to reform its abusive police department — and, alongside protests, the fight is playing o
“Keith has my full support and my full endorsement. “
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - As the Minnesota primary fast approaches, Gov. Tim Walz and Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan announced they will be endorsing the incumbent DFL congressional representatives for reelection.
“Ellison stated: “If you’re a woman who’s been a victim of a sexual assault, and the assailant ran away, wouldn’t you rather talk to somebody who is trained in helping you deal with what you’re dealing with…”
Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, a Democrat, said Sunday she supported calls to defund and dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department following the police killing of 46-year-old George Floyd on May 25.
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) at an "anti-law enforcement rally" in Minneapolis over the weekend: "I will never stop saying not only do we need to disinvest from police but we need to completely dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department...
“The two Democrats are supporting the proposal on the ballot November 2, which seeks to create a new department that employs a ‘comprehensive public health approach’ and licensed peace officers ‘if necessary.’ “
Sentencing Commission
The Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines are an important factor in keeping Minnesotans safe. Governor Tim Walz wants to lessen sentences for repeat and violent offenders. Governor Tim Walz went soft on crime, emboldened criminals across the state, and now innocent victims and fearful Minnesotans are paying the price.
Despite Rapidly Rising/Spreading Crime, Governor Tim Walz's Sentencing Commission Goes Soft-On-Crime...
“Gov. Tim Walz’s voice on the Sentencing Guidelines Commission is so out of the mainstream that she’s been kicked out of some of Minnesota’s most liberal organizations. Tonya Honsey describes herself as a revolutionary mother, a truth-teller, a survivor of incarceration and a community healer. She used to describe herself as indigenous, until her colleagues fact-checked this claim and confronted her for misappropriating a Native American heritage and bloodline.”
“That will mean lower sentences for criminals who commit murder, rape, assault, robbery and felony DWI. Worse yet, sex offenders currently receive double points for their custody status, so eliminating this part of the grid will disproportionally benefit the worst criminals in our system.”
“3,362 Minnesotans sent emails to the Commission urging members to reject the proposed changes.”
“An unelected board with little notice to, or attention from, the public is pushing drastic changes to our sentencing laws that put the public at risk.”
“Police and Corrections Department whistleblowers say Glover’s case is indicative of a growing trend in Minnesota: Convicted criminals on probation and parole are being allowed to remain on the streets, even after serious violations of their release terms, which include committing new crimes.”
““This is why you can’t go soft on crime,” Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka, of East Gull Lake, said in a statement. “It’s hard to see these numbers for arson, theft and assaults on police and wonder: Would it have been better if Gov. Walz stopped the riots right away last year?””
“Over 3,000 of the files contained known victim images identified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The digital forensic examination also found almost 20,000 files of child erotica or pornography where the age of the victim was not readily apparent but appeared underage.
“By the MSGC’s own data, Minnesota is among the worst in the nation in terms of child safety, and possibly even dead last.“
Minnesota Freedom fund
Governor Tim Walz’s Democrat allies like Vice President Kamala Harris support the Minnesota Freedom Fund: an organization that bails out violent, repeat criminals and releases them back on Minnesota streets. Thank Governor Walz and the Democrats for letting more violent criminals out on the street to terrorize Minnesota’s families..
The Minnesota Freedom Fund Regularly Bails Out Violent, Repeat Criminals; Including Pedophiles..
“A man who told police that “voices” were encouraging him to rape children was bailed out by the Minnesota Freedom Fund, a controversial nonprofit that was once endorsed by the current vice president.”
“The Minnesota Freedom Fund secured the release of an alleged child rapist, a man who reportedly left his own 71-year-old mother in a pool of blood, a man accused of curb stomping a Minneapolis resident who walks with a cane, and more.”
“A criminal complaint describes Jones as “a danger to public safety” who was “under investigation for several other incidents of indecent exposure.”
“A violent daytime assault last week has left a well-liked Minneapolis bar manager with a traumatic brain injury and a long road to recovery. The alleged perpetrator is a violent offender who was charged just a month ago in another violent assault and was provided bail by the Minnesota Freedom Fund just days prior to last week’s assault.”
Walz doesn’t want to take violent criminals off the streets, instead, he has chosen to enable them.
“Honsey voiced concern about felons being “retraumatized” when they are sent to prison. She expressed no such concern for the victims of their crimes.”
Governor Walz is okay with a justice system that includes third parties bailing out violent criminals. He even includes advocates of crime in his administration.
“State Republicans are once again looking to crack down on the Minnesota Freedom Fund, a controversial nonprofit with a history of bailing out violent criminals who go on to reoffend.”
